On-Foot goes to Ilocos Norte (Part 2)
That is the church of Paoay behind me. It is made of corals, egg white, onions, tomatoes, and cement. I might be missing some ingredients. Ah yes, I almost forgot – slave labor (It’s true). It’s a famous church and is actually on the UNESCO World Heritage List. If you look close enough, you can see the fossilized shrimp and lobster.
I had a taste of the local pizza right in front of the church at Herencia de Paoay. The pizza was half pinakbet and half bagnet. Yes, it sounds weird, it looks weird, it smells weird, but it tasted delicious. Next time, I’ll try the dinuguan pizza.
This is the sinking bell tower, the local version of the leaning tower of Pisa except this one is not leaning, it’s just sinking. Apparently, the foundation is sandy. It probably has a few more decades before it disappears but not without one last ring of the bell.
This is me hanging out at my newly found favorite restaurant at the Centennial airport.
I know fast food is bad but it taste so good. There’s nothing like kaya on toast with some soft boiled eggs (isn’t that Chow Yun Fat’s new movie?). This is the aftermath of me devouring the yummy food.
