Anti Distracted Driving Act

The Anti Distracted Driving Act came to effect on May 18, 2017. While almost everyone agrees that texting and making phone calls on your smart phone is definitely dangerous while driving, some motorists think that this new law is anti-private vehicle. This new traffic law makes it illegal to put your smart phone in “line-of-sight” within your vehicle. The penalties are quite stiff too so you better know this law pretty well if you want to avoid paying up, especially with some of our corrupt traffic cops. I’m not saying that all of them are corrupt, just the ones I’ve encountered.
